There are so many people who are in the dark of life living in recovery. Waiting to recover from lost due to natural disasters such as earthquakes, hurricanes, tornadoes and tsunamis. However, lost does not stop there. Many of the voices of the people that surround us have been silenced and they are unable to recover from the disasters of life. We want to be that help, that last prayer, that voice for those victims without one.

We are a non-profit organization, committed to providing hope, and help to those in the community. A Place Called Help is our initiative to assist our community’s deprived families, retired and disabled veterans, persons with disabilities, medical illnesses, individuals, and children. These families are subdued to the lack of necessities in proper food, shelter, and essential medical care every day due to a variety of factors including low wages, job loss, injuries, illness, unplanned pregnancy, domestic violence, or divorce.

Our goal as A Place Called Help is to empower our communities for a greater service to all mankind by offering support meetings for substance abuse, sexual abuse, and domestic violence victims; providing childcare development services, training for GED, and employment. It is our hope to coordinate with organizations that provide free health services, necessary supplies and resources for those with medical conditions. Furthermore, we are encouraged to seek and tangibly assist families and individuals in crisis to receive shelter, food, clothing, and counseling.
